La Familia en la fincaBOLLO is a Valencian company which produces and markets high-quality range fruits, especially citrus fruits and melons. Our origin dates back to a family business which was founded in 1922 by the current owner's grandfather.


With more than 70 years working experience, we are still surprising all the markets with an ever-expanding international projection. Our staff with more than 800 workers is totally engaged in offering all-the-year round fruit with excellent quality, the best flavor and all the freshness of the fields.

History

1922: José Vercher Cuñat founded the embryo of the company.

1952: His son José Vercher, together with his wife Matilde Company, began to modernize the company with a new fleet of vehicles.

Seventies: The Company began to centre its activities in the zone of Madrid. BOLLO developed a new system of direct service to fruit sellers in this province.

Eighties: eginning of the third generation. José, Juan, Sergio and Oscar Vercher A quantitative jump took place in the company's activities with the opening of new markets in the north of Spain.

1991: First Prize in Trade awarded by the Chamber of Commerce of Valencia. First steps in the European markets.

1997: With 30% annual kilogram growth, the company carried out the first extension with a new packinghouse incorporating a modern open-plan structure and the main advances for the management of the citruses.

2001: First international expansion, regarding production, in the southern hemisphere: South Africa, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay.

2002: Bollo won the first Prize of "Agricultural and alimentary quality" awarded by the Valencian Ministry of   Agriculture Fishing and Food.

2005: Opening of BOLLO BRAZIL, our subsidiary company in that country. We manage two plantations with more than 6000 hectares and packinghouses for the processing of melons with an area of 10.000m2.

2007: With a growth of a 25% in kg, we were already increasing our market share in many of the big European supermarket distribution chains. We are currently a benchmark for the best, in the most select European supermarkets.

2008: Consolidation in the national and international market as producers of melons.
